Tamim al-Barghouthi is one of the poets who uses the natural symbols in literature according to their feelings, because the symbol, in addition to its semantic effect, it gives poetry a supreme artistic image so that he can speak about the revolution, and calling for freedom and rebellion against strict restrictions indirectly.

this article is based on the descriptive-analytical method, trying to reveal the natural symbols in Tamim al-Barghouti’s poetry and show her suggestive role in Diwan (in Jerusalem) where, the natural elements take on a social and political nature, and we know that this symbolic employment emanates from the danger of imprisonment and assassination as long as political suffocation does not allow the poet to express his ideas directly.

these natural signs have various indications suggesting the poet's vision of what is happening in the arab countries; the natural symbols used by Barghouti bear the connotation of peace, security, freedom and struggle; The sky comes as a symbol of holiness, purity and disposal, horses are a symbol of the struggling people and the wind is a symbol of life.

Barghouti is inspired by the freedom of the bird and the pigeons to express the struggle of the Arab people to achieve freedom in all its dimensions.
