Abstract AR
Abstract EN
This research aims to identify the painting of Jharokha, especially the Jharokha Darshan which frequently used in painting of manuscripts and albums of the Indian Mughal school, rather, it went beyond the applied artifacts, and gold coins.
The Jharokha was a symbol of imperial power, and the emperors used it to legitimize their rule, and impose their authority on their subjects, it was a symbol of the obedience and loyalty of their subjects to them, It was restricted to emperors themselves or their sons and wives only, It was varied in its use between practicing the Darshan ritual which the emperor is practicing, even if he was sick, or in hunting, and during the war, It was practiced twice a day or even more.
It was practiced also during their welcoming reception of their sons when they return from the military campaigns or during reception of departure to these campaigns.
It was also practiced during the ceremonies of their children's wedding, and during receiving VIP persons and foreign delegations, it was also where complaints and petitions were received from the oppressed, who could not easily reach the emperor except through this ritual, architecturally, it has varied forms as well.
