Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the semiotics of the press coverage of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in the news sites of the Arab and foreign newspapers during the aggression period in May 2021, and knowing the extent of disparity and compatibility between the sites in the images they provide by conducting a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the content of this image by the semiological analysis tool for the visible and latent signs in the press photos published on the study sites (Al-Ahram in Egypt - Riyadh in Saudi Arabia - the American Washington Post - and the British Times, from 10 to 21 May 2021through analyzing 192 press photos of the aggression on Gaza.

This study is considered as one of the descriptive studies that used the media survey method and the qualitative method.

The study reached several results, the most important ones are:
- The Saudi Riyadh website came at the top of the study sites, which was concerned with publishing press photos dealing with the Israeli aggression on Gaza with a rate of 30.20% , followed by the Egyptian Al-Ahram website in second place with 28.13% , followed by the American Washington Post website in third place with 25% .

Then the British Times website ranked in the last place with 16.67% .

- The study sites confirmed that the Israeli occupation deliberately tightens the screws on the media in the Gaza Strip In order not to convey his violations and crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, he does not want to convey the facts of the aggression against Gaza.

Rather, it wants to nip information in its bud, and seeks to silence the mouths of the local and international media.

- The study websites published many pictures that showed the brutality of the Israeli attack, from which the children in Gaza did not survive, the victims of this Israeli aggression that killed their innocence and trampled their childhood until the slogan of these children became "a lost childhood in the shadow of the Israeli aggression.
