Abstract EN

This research paper aims to highlight the role of renewable energies in increasing the opportunities for energy production in Algeria and then enhancing ensuring energy security in Algeria, by studying and analyzing the energy situation in Algeria during the period from 2009 to 2018, which is the stage that witnessed the birth of the energies program renewed in Algeria.

This study concluded that the energy production in Algeria during the years of the study came from depleted energies in the form of natural gas and oil, which is the production that contributed to achieving energy security for Algeria and thus ensuring a comfortable energy situation for the country's economy during the studied period.

The study also showed that Algeria There are abundant sources of renewable energies, especially solar energy, but the renewable energies program adopted in Algeria did not rise to achieving energy production in accordance with the targeted plan or even to cover national consumption.
