The study purpose to identify the importance of socialization for slum children by shedding light on the living situations of children and their families in slums in Sadr City, Imam Hassan Complex, and Dora, Al-Manar Complex, to identify the dimensions and effects of socialization in these areas, and to achieve this, the two researchers followed the survey approach Social by sample method by applying a questionnaire to a sample of (200) families, the research reached to results, the most important of which is the exposure of slums children's to violence at a rate of 100% , and the reason for this is family upbringing and parental abuse, and the results showed the exit of children in these areas to work and at a rate of 78 % to support their families because of the unemployment of the head of the family, and the lack of basic services in slum areas
