Abstract EN

The relations between China and Africa are considered special.

While the economic aspect plays an essential role in this regard.

China is currently the first investor in the African continent and acquires most of the projects in the fields of energy and infrastructure which represent the main focus of local development in the continent.

Also, the Chinese economic and social perception has changed positively towards the economic quasi liberal systems in the African countries, it was necessary to identify the discourse of the official newspapers concerning the changing nature of the bilateral economic relations.

This research will be based on the sociological approach and the methods of systematic comparison to study the interpretive connotations of the official discourses in China, South Africa, Mauritania and Ethiopia.

It will also focus on the apparent and latent elements on which the official press websites depend in broadcasting their discourse, to identify the active forces behind these discourses, the explicit and implicit roles attributed to them as catalyst of a special sequence of events.

we can say that the press discourses in the above mentioned countries tended to use emotional connotations to attract the public support to the Chinese investments in Africa as well as the role played by China in implementing many infrastructure projects in the continent, even if their economic feasibility or social impact are not proven yet.

We can also state that the Chinese socialist market economy had already in general affected the economic systems in the African countries.
