Abstract EN

The subject of death has been a matter of concern for humans since ancient times.

The idea of the ence of the person who was breathing in front of you and his departure from this world is often not easily accepted nor comprehensible.

This matter inspired many novelists, who used death as a literary tool to arrange the most important ideas about death and its meanings.

This paper aims at revealing the extent of the great possibilities that the imagining of death in novels provides.

It also aims at understanding and explaining this complex and multifaceted phenomenon, as well as extracting its most important representations as a constant and inevitable reality, in an attempt to enhance and improve anthropological understanding of death.
