This study explores the determinants of cyberbullying among Egyptian adolescents through applying a survey on middle and high school students (n=279).

Also, the qualitative approach of focus group discussion was conducted with parents and teachers to reveal the anticipated psychological and behavioral influences.

The effect of some intermediate variables such as gender, education type, level of Adolescent-Parents Communication, and parental mediation patterns was tested.

Findings suggest a significant correlation between the usage intensity of social networks by the participants and their level of exposure to cyberbullying.

Females were more vulnerable to cyberbullying, and public school students were more likely to be harassed than international and private school students.

Active engagement pattern had an impact on reducing children's exposure to cyberbullying compared to restrictive and monitoring forms of parental mediation.

High level of Adolescent-Parents Communication was shown to limit the potential of cyberbullying.

Qualitative analysis emphasized the psychological consequences and behavioral changes on the part of adolescents when they are subject to bullying in its various forms.
