This article proposes an analysis of the problematic of theorizing in communication studies by providing a reading of the importance of employing the grounded theory methodology in achieving this task.

It is related to clarifying the important role of this methodology in understanding the communicative phenomenon, characterized by complexity and continuous change, it's also about the necessity of using new theoretical frameworks in this field of knowledge in the light of the interesting potential of qualitative research.
