The right to work is considered one of the basic rights because it provides a living wage for the person, which makes it closely related to the right to life.

Therefore, it is enshrined in international conventions and approved by national constitutions, including the Algerian constitution in its various stages.

However, the new constitution brought about a fundamental change in the subject of the right to work, which included recognition of the duty to work, which is not recognized Freedom of work and the association of this right with wages, in reference to the developmental, economic and social dimensions targeted by the constitutionality of the right to work.
