Abstract EN

This study aims to show the main problematics exposed in a hypothetical way by: ʺAhmed El Moutaouakilʺ, and ʺThourayaEssoukri Amarʺ, and ʺAbdelaziz El Massaoudiʺ, who suggest that ʺincomplete verbsʺ in Arabic Language are grammaticalized; it means that they are transformed over the time from ʺcomplete verbsʺ which indicate ʺprocessʺ and ʺtenseʺ to ʺincomplete verbsʺ indicate only ʺtenseʺ.

In its review of this hypothesis, this study also focused on two things: the form of incomplete verbs in its different grammaticalization steps, and the proof of the owners of this hypothesis which affirmed that these verbs are used only complete before its grammaticalization.
