Abstract EN

The research bears the title: Concepts of Signs, Types, and Functions.

It is divided into two sections:
The first topic: the concept of indexes.

The second topic: types of indices and their functions.

Then followed by the conclusion, in which I mentioned the results I reached, the most important of which are:
1 The function of personal, temporal, and
spatial notations is to refer to multiple names, with no congruence with their names, and the inability to include them in a semantic field to express these names.

2- Personal and temporal and spatial indications have two functions, sometimes: one of them is the main one, which is the reference to persons, tenses, and places, and the other marginal (sub), which is the reference to a social, cultural, structural, rhetorical, semantic or pragmatic value.
