far Ibn Abi Talib's Speech to al-Nagashi during the Second Migration to Abyssinia: A Pragmatic Argumentative Approach, " this paper offers an analysis that focuses on defining the different situations of Jaʿfar's speech including its purposes, its parties as well as its temporal and spatial contexts.

Then, it studies, through the pragmatic dimension, the implicit meanings, illocutionary acts and the responses based on the perlocutionary act in it.

After that, it investigates argumentation logical techniques, techniques based on the reality, the linguistic techniques of argumentation and argumentative scale as well as the rhetorical devices supporting the argumentation.

This paper concludes that the power of argumentation lies in the speaker's psychological incentives.

Also, argumentation in dialogue is more powerful than one speaker discursive situation.

The success of Jaʿfar's speech depended on Jaʿfar's clear, free from contradiction arguments, his well-chosen quotations and his well-organized arguments according to their situations.

In addition, Jaʿfar did not relinquish and he did not identify with Amr Ibn al-ʿAs's acts in the discursive event.
