Sustainable local development is an integral part of the comprehensive sustainable development that the state seeks to achieve at the national level.

Sustainable local development with its various economic, social and environmental dimensions is a necessary approach to the advancement and development of societies.

In order to achieve sustainable local development, countries have adopted a policy of administrative decentralization, through the central authority relinquishing some of its competencies to local authorities (local administration) with the aim of meeting the needs of citizens and responding quickly to them through optimal utilization of local resources to ensure response to the current and future requirements of the local community in a manner that ensures sustainability and continuity in development local society.
