Abstract EN

Dystopia is a new literary phenomenon in the Arab literary fields, although it has been prominent in recent times in narrative, more particularly after the Arab Spring revolutions, and despite its preceding presence in Western literature from the middle of the eighteenth century until now.

Dystopian fiction is characterized by its discoursive and semiotic characteristics that distinguish it from traditional narrative patterns.

Using the comparative approach of the American School, the study chooses both writers “Aldous Huxley” and “Ibrahim Nasrallah” with their novels “Brave New World” and “The Second War of the Dog”, respectively, as two models for authenticating the presence of dystopian narrative in the Arab and Western literary domains.

The study is divided into three sections, preceded by an introduction and succeeded by a conclusion, references and works cited.
