This research deals with an explanation and analysis of René Guénon position on modern Western civilization and the extent of its opposition to tradition, This does not mean that he rejects all new patterns of life and confines himself to the past, and what it contains of backwardness and errors, So Guénon calls for the need to reform the West, And this reform when it happened as it should be- That is, if the West can restore its true traditions– The natural result will be a rapprochement with the East, Guénon confirms, through this research, that the Orientals are absolutely right in taking the Western civilization as being nothing but a quantitative civilization, or in other words, a material civilization.

In light of this, Guénon pointed out that people in the West do not know the true Orientals.

He raises the question: If the oriental audience ends up becoming anti-Western, after he was looking at them indifferently, who is responsible for this, is it that elite, or the Westerners themselves? Guénon emphasizes the role of the elite in the East, while it no longer exists in the West
