Abstract EN

The current research aimed to identify the relationship between Post Traumatic Growth, life Orientation and Social Support among Sample of Widows, as well as to identify the Level of (PTG)among Widows.

Furthermore, to identify the differences between the research sample in (PTG) according to the different ages (from 25 to 35 years, 35 to 45 years and 45-60 years).

Period Time of widows from( Lower than 5 years, 5 - 10, more than 10 years )and Educational Level ( low - Moderate - High).

And also to identify the possibility of predicting (PTG) through Life Orientation and Social Support Among Sample of Widows, The study sample consisted of (253) widows who are attending Social Affairs in Tanah and Nesemeya.

Of Them (82) their husband died from a period of time lower than 5 years, (100) their husband died from a period of time (5 to 10) and (71)their husband died from a period of time over than 10 years old.

of whom (78) are low Educational Level, (112) are Moderate Educational Level and (63) are high Educational Level, and of them (98 ) are from 25-35 years old, (60) are from 35-45 years old and (95) are from 45-60 years old, The (PTG) Scale was used by the researcher, the Life Orientation scale by the researcher and the Social Support scale Prepared by (Ali, 2018 ).

The Results of the research found a Positive correlation between (PTG), Life Orientation and Social Support at the level of significance (0.01).

It was also found that there is a moderate level of ( PTG) In widows, and there were significant differences in (PTG) According to ages and Period of times of widows in favor of the elders who have been become widowed over ten years old and their ages between 45-60 years old.

While there was no differences in (PTG) Scale according to level education.

The results also suggest PTG can predicted through Life Orientation and Social Support.
