Abstract EN

The present study raises an important issue that relates to the approach of the Islamic Sharia in fighting the misleading informatory content published on social media as Islamic Sharia prohibits it and enacts a sanction for crimes pertaining to it.

The present study aims to answer many questions, like: what is meant by misleading informatory content? what is the Sharia evidence behind prohibiting dealing with this content? what are the forms of the misleading informatory content? Is the description of providing misleading content limited to presenting false information or Can it include also the deception caused by media practitioners through using roundabout styles? Can the broadcaster be held accountable only when he/she does so in purpose or Can he/she held accountable for negligence inn verifying the media content presented? What are the famous crimes in this regard? The present study adopts an analytical approach; it examines the legal evidence, perspectives of the Jurists and analyzes them to deduce the legal judgment of the misleading informatory content.

In addition, it adopts a comparative approach; it investigates the opinions of the jurists in all disputed issues, states the evidence of each side and chooses the most preponderant opinions.
