لم تزل عناية العلماء في الدرس اللغوي مستمرة بمختلف العصور للعناية بالقرآن الكريم فبذلت جهود كبيرة و كثيرة، و كان ابن ناقيا من علماء القرن الرابع الهجري على الرغم من عدم ذيوع صيته إلا إن له دراسات في القرآن الكريم و كتابه (الجمان)خير دليل على ذلك.
تناول فيه التشبيهات في القرآن الكريم ضمنها إشارات لغوية تناثرت هنا وهناك فكان موضوع البحث (شذرات لغوية عند ابن ناقيا في كتابه الجمان في تشبيهات القرآن)
