Abstract EN

This study is a descriptive study aimed at describing and explaining the relationship between new media and development issues, and how new media and social media platforms can be used to support development issues in Algeria, by introducing the new media and its characteristics, introducing the concept of development, through the definition of development media and its functions, and the role of development media in supporting the development process based on the harnessing of the new media, in addition to the definition of development media and its functions.

To the new role of the media in supporting development issues in Algeria, the article reached recommendations, the most prominent of which is the need to develop a media policy to ensure the implementation of electronic media campaigns guidance and awareness, and to establish a mechanism to take advantage of social media platforms and recruit them to serve development issues in Algeria.
