The Islamic endowments represented an effective civilizational movement that guaranteed the independence of Islamic civil society facilities, whether in the field of education, fatwa, or social security.

These endowments have become a source of independence for financing these facilities from the ruling authority, in a way that guarantees the continuity and stability of these facilities.

Its role is highlighted as a symbiotic social system that is based on the noble principles, values and morals that Islam came and urged.

It looks at the members of society who come under its shadow with a view of interdependence and concern for their well-being and the requirements of their lives regardless of personal considerations and interests.

It inculcates solidarity and sympathy with others, even if there is no previous knowledge or personal relationship between them, and it embodies the relationship of the members of society with each other in the form of the relationship of the members of one body with one another.

The role of the endowment was not limited to aspects of civil life such as education, health and social security, but rather to expenditures in the fields of security and defense, given that the security of Muslims was a necessary necessity to ensure the stability of Islamic societies.
