The paper aims to study commercial use in Al-Muqdadiya city as one of the most significant and prominent uses of the city land.

The area of Al-Muqdadiya city is (1800) hectares commercial use occupies (4.7) hectares with a ratio of (0.26% ) of the total area of the city.

In the course of the study, it is found that commercial use spreads randomly and unregularly lacking a lot of norms and standards.

Moreover, a sort of specialization in commercial patterns has emerged; the first commercial street has specialized in ready-to-wear clothes, luxuries and perfumesshops; the second commercial street with furniture stores; whereas the third street with wholesale and ceramic shops.
