Most of the international criminal legislation has paid great attention to the issue of witness protection, based on its fundamental role in uncovering the Ruth and resolving the criminal case.

Exploitation of influence, embezzlement, treachery, money laundering, etc.

(corruption offenses), terrorisms crimes and organized criminal gangs, and contributes to the provision of a safe environment, motivate the witness to apply to the judicial bodies to testify.

- This protection was enshrined by the Algerian legislatorthroughits general legal texts and created by the Law 15-02, the latter which made a qualitative leap in the legal system, where several amendments have contributed to the widening of the criminal protection of the witness compared to the previous provisions.
