Abstract EN

I took up This paper deals with The French penetration in Africa and the construction of the colonial empire during the nineteenth century AD, because France, after losing its colonies and influence in the Americas, thought of rebuilding a new colonial empire to make up for what it lost, and started from the north of the continent by occupying Algeria in 1830, and from the north of the continent expanded west, south and east to gain most of the spheres of influence in Africa.

In this article, I was exposed to the French conflict with other European colonial powers in Africa, particularly the Franco-British conflict, as both colonial empires had the greatest influence in Africa.
