Abstract EN

This study seeks to know the ideological orientation of Algerian educational discourse through the texts of the school legislation, particularly Order No(76-35) of 16 April 1976 on the organization of education and training, and law No(08-04) of 23 January 2008which includes the National Education Guidelines.

After analysing the content of these materials, the study confirmed that the Algerian educational discourse carries a declared and hidden ideology in its school legislative texts, the first national and public, aimed at enshrining the elements of Algerian society, such as religion, language, etc.

, and the second, global and hidden, through which it seeks to enshrine the global dimensions of "globalization", such as the defence of fundamental freedoms of human rights, democracy, justice, equality and others.
