This paper seeks to investigate the phenomenon of using folk heritage in the Algerian; Camarad, Mate of Lostness by Elhaj Ahmed Ziwani as an example, throughout the focus on the semantic and aesthetic dimensions in both theory and practice.

In that novel "Camarad, Mate of Lostness", we an outstanding novelistic work that reflects the beauty of using heritage which is clearly shown through some semantic signs.

All in all this literary narrative work could be considered as a prominent trial to shed light on the African rich heritage.
