The research aims to demonstrate the role of transitional justice in the criminal prosecution of perpetrators of criminal human rights crimes, which, through its judicial and non-judicial mechanisms of a punitive nature, succeed in supporting the protection of criminal human rights, consolidating the principle of the rule of law, combating impunity for perpetrators and consolidating democracy.

The basic frameworks of transitional justice and dealing with criminal human rights violations, as they are committed with the criminal intent of the perpetrator leaving a victim or a group of victims.

Therefore, criminal prosecution of the perpetrators of criminal human rights crimes against individuals enables them to have their right to criminal redress, and contributes to providing satisfaction to members of the transitional society It guarantees national peace and stability in the state, restores confidence in state institutions, and activates legal mechanisms and procedures that are enforced at the international and national levels in order to move forward without forgetting what happened and taking lessons from it.
