Abstract EN

he aim of this research is to highlight the stage of educational development in Dar Ouaddaï from 1615 to 2017.

The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach to conduct the study and reached the following conclusions:  Among the features of the education administration in Dar Ouaddaï before entering colonialism: 1.

Supervising the administration of education is among the administrative tasks of the sultans.

2.

Among the objectives of the education department is to prepare scholars and to increase the number of those who memorize the book of God, to expand the building of the Muslim mosque, and to spread Islamic and Arab culture.

3.

Education is represented in mosques, cells, councils and homes of scholars.

 Among the features of the education department in Dar Ouaddaï during the colonial period: 1.

The education department is among the administrative tasks of the French officers who manage in through the education Inspector.

2.

Replacing the Arabic language with the French language in administrative transactions.

3.

The closure of Arab and Islamic schools and institutes in Dar Ouaddaï in 1953.

4.

Some residents of Dar Ouaddaï refused to send their children to French regular schools, due to religious considerations.

 Among the features of the education administration in Dar Ouaddaï after independence: 1.

The Ministry of education has become the body responsible for managing and developing education.

2.

The education department in Dar Ouaddaï began to manage by the Inspector of education and regular primary education, and since 1991, the education representative at the state level has managed it.

3.

Allowing individual and private entities to open schools for various educational levels.

4.

Trying to apply the decentralization method in education management,  Recommendations: the research in recommended the following: 1.

The extent of applying double-linguistic duplication in educational institutions in Dar Ouaddaï , 2.

How satisfied are citizens of Dar Ouaddaï with the application of secularism in governmental institutions.
