Abstract EN

The hidden economy is the second component in the actual economy of any country.

An economy is hardly devoid of images of hidden (informal) economic activities.

Rather, in some cases, it grows at rates not seen in formal economies, so the activities of the hidden economy are intertwined with the activities of the formal economy, through an expanding network of relations of production, exchange and distribution constitutes a large proportion of the gdp.

These activities grow in egypt through the expansion of the informal sector to include all activities that arise and grow in the ence of an officially organized work environment (starting from the lack of a work contract, to the ence of basic workers' rights such as social and health insurance, the number of working hours, etc.

).

The impact of the informal sector as the basic image of the hidden economy in egypt on the employment and labor market is a complex issue, which raises many problems due to the difficulty of approximating some of the benefits of the informal sector, the most important of which is alleviating the unemployment problem and finding a source of income for many groups of society, and contributing to securing some materials and needs at differential prices compared to the formal sector, which makes it play the role of social calm.

In return for its negative effects from the decrease in the tax proceeds and its negative repercussions on the state's economic role, and the exacerbation of the vicious circle phenomenon by imposing more taxes and fees to compensate for the lack of tax revenue, which leads to more flight of labor towards the informal sector, in addition to the dangers of lower quality of goods and the spread of precarious employment the ence of social coverage and its reflection on the labor market in egypt.

Nevertheless, the informal sector in egypt is characterized by its diversity and flexibility, which opens the way for a regulatory, economic and legal treatment that enables it to be orbed and annexed to the formal sector in order to enjoy its economic and social advantages.
