The speech acts theory is considered as the most important diffused theory of pragmatics in the world, it was exploited by the specialists for understanding many kinds of discourse, it was our attempt in this research where we have studied the use of speech acts types by one of the most famous Arabic linguists which is Abdrahman Hadj Salah in a group of his articles, our goal in this work was to know the categories of speech acts used in the scientific discourse, we have adopted in our analysis the purpose of the American philosopher john R.

our work aimed to extract speech acts in the corpus and classify them in categories.
