Reasoning thinking has a significant role in the process of fundamental Ijtihad.

The ultimate mission of the fundamentalist was to understand the thresholds of the Islamic texts and to work to adjust their meanings and mold them into a semantic template that serves the nature of these texts as well as the circumstances surrounding them.

They are often linked to the pre- or subsequent texts of the Sharia, whether they were from the Quran or Sunnah, in order to determine what they mean.

Interpretation of their types and mechanisms was the best way to achieve this, so fundamentalists relied on reasoning processes such as extrapolation, deductive analogy and other mental mechanisms, which are also interpretive mechanisms in order to reach their goal.

We find that they tackled this process (interpretation) while talking about Ijtihad, thereby defining its pillars and the conditions of correct interpretation.
