Abstract EN

The research aims to define orientalism and identify the types of orientalists, and to explain their mistakes and the reasons that led to their occurrence in these mistakes, and to confirm that they did not adhere to their method by claiming that it is based on integrity and justice.

Through analyzing and criticizing the texts, the research reached a number of results, the most important of which are: that Orientalism, although it has its roots for more than a thousand years, but the term did not appear in Europe until the eighteenth century, especially in England and France, and the term was included in the dictionary at the beginning.

The nineteenth century, and although some researchers refer to Orientalism back to the fourteenth century, we consider the real Orientalism to be directed against Islam, and for this we consider the nineteenth century to be the era of prosperity for Orientalism, a stage of its formation as a science that began in England and France, and with the multiplicity of Orientalist motives, but we consider the religious motive to be the first and most important among Westerners, and with the various aims and objectives of the Orientalists, the main aim is to distort Islam, weaken the Muslims, and dismantle their unity, and with the multiplicity of the factors of error among the Orientalists, the exaggerations Deliberate distortion, lack of integrity and impartiality was a method for most of them, which means a betrayal of the method that they themselves set in scientific research, as their method was not free of tendencies and whims when they study Islam in doctrine, law and history.
