Man faces natural disasters in different parts of the earth of all kinds, and Earthquakes are a natural disaster, Which Iraq is witnessing a large number of recent, which calls for reflection and caution, Hence, this study is aimed at identifying the position of the law, especially the civil law issues of the earthquake, The study included an analysis of force majeure conditions in order to determine whether the earthquake was considered a force majeure or not, With a statement of the legal effects contained in the provisions of the Civil Code in the event of the earthquake as a force majeure, Both those relating to the implementation of the contract and civil liability, With the introduction of legal solutions to address the effects of the earthquake that relate to individuals or the public authority.
