Abstract EN

Starting from the ratification status of Algeria to the Internationale e Gen Convenant that concerns civil and politic right sapproed by theral Assembly of the United Nations on December16th, 1966 that Algeria has joined thanks to the presedential decree 67-89 of May 16th, 1988, and in line with the technological deelopment that today's world is witnessing in many fields; amongst them what we call " the Electronic Space"; Algeria was obliged, as many other countries were, to work hard in order to fulfill the information security on the level of this virtual space.

This was realised in reality thanks through issuing an arsenal of Laws.

Among these laws, we have the Law number 18-07, that concerns protecting individuals in the field of personal data processing.

The latter is considered as the center study of this research paper, which aims at showing the basis that the Algerian Legislature has adopted to protect individuals in the field of personal data processing
