Taxi transport is among the most important modes of road transport in Algeria because of the flexibility of this type and the high response that characterizes it to meet the needs of transport through the easy and rapid interconnection between different geographical regions, which constitute a great difficulty for other means of transport referred to by the Algerian legislator.

In Law 13/13 of 08/07/2001, which includes directing the land transport and its amended and complemented regulation in Article 34 as one of the types of qualitative transport, which in turn is a form of transporting people according to the text of Article 27 of the same law.

And therefore it was very important to research the legal system that governs this type of land transportation and research the positives of this system, especially the negative aspects and shortcomings that we will highlight according to the Executive Decree 12/230 of 05/24/2012 amended and Completed and ministerial decisions dated 08/14/2016 related firstly to the book of conditions related to the conditions and modalities for the exploitation of the taxi service, secondly to the conditions and modalities for the delivery of the seat book for transportation by taxi and thirdly to the forms for documents related to the practice of transport by taxi and Raising a set of legal points related to whether transport by taxi includes a contract for transporting land, and whether transport by taxi is a public transport and the privacy of the license to practice this activity and penalties and violations in the field of transport by taxi.
