This article discusses the relationship of the royal establishment with religion, considering that the Islamic religion constitutes the main legitimacy of the Moroccan monarchical system through the sacred oath of allegiance, as well as the attribute of the king as commander of the faithful (Article 41 of the Constitution of 2011) on the one hand, and the concern of the royal establishment to protect the spiritual security of Moroccans through official ideological channels (the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, the Supreme Scientific Council ...) on the other.

Because the religious sphere remains exclusive to the king.

Morocco is also a model of tolerant, moderate Islam through the Sunni Maliki school of thought, the poetic creed and mysticism, this belief that rejects extremism and terrorism, and this is what has made Morocco a destination for training imams in the religious field by many countries .
