This scientific paper aims to examine the significance of privatization as a reform policy that has a significant impact on the development path of countries, especially in countries that are in transition towards a market economy, where most countries of the world seek to achieve development, and this is evidenced by relying on market mechanisms.

Privatization is a term used to convey the various ideas of transferring ownership from the public sector to the private sector.

We also seek through this article to explore the most important principles on which the privatization policy is based, trying to reveal reasonable justifications for implementing this policy, especially on the part of developing countries.
