Abstract EN

The revolution of Muhammad Ahmad al-Mahdi, 1881 ad -1885 ad, took place in a society strongly adhering to Islam, with a deep belief in the saints and their dignities, disputed by sectarian and regional loyalties, and in a different region far from the centers of knowledge about the aspects that could be used in the achievements of the western renaissance, so it had to be of a religious nature it is based on the renewal of Islam by rejecting heresies and fighting the manifestations of backwardness in it, such as the Sufi movements, relying on the jurisprudence of previous generations and returning it to its original essence by adopting the Qur’an and the Sunnah, as an objective and only option in front of the revolution in order for all the masses to advance it and ensure that they abdicate their sectarian and regional loyalties.
