Abstract EN

This research starts from a major problem represented in the inevitable conflict between self (ego) and other, that the relationship between them is a relationship saturated with problems and colors of conflict and constant clash, and therefore the research aims to study the essence of the struggle between the self and the other from the perspective the Post-colonial theory.

The research concluded with a set of results, such as the most prominent pioneers of post-colonial theory agree that the relationship between self (ego) and other is based on conflict and collision.

Furthermore, the study of the nature of this conflict has led to the establishment of several essential concepts in Post-colonial theory such as orientalism, hybridity, subaltern and othering.
