Abstract EN

This project shows us some of the intellectual characteristics of the scholars of the city of Hilla, which benefited the other cities with the production of their scholars for more than three centuries of time or more, and shows the favorite of this city in the conservation of the science of religion, and thus reveal a history of glory, to add a new and important phase to the history of this ancient city, and show what was hidden for the past, because of the injustice and arbitrariness suffered by its people and their heritage which is so valuable.

It is important to prove the richness of the intellectual output of the scholars of Hilla, especially after the catastrophe of Baghdad in (656 hijri ) by the Mongolian armies, which led to the migration of many of its scientists to the city of Hilla, which was safe, and as aresult, Hilla people took the books from the people of Baghdad instead of food they have bought.

Thus, the Baghdad libraries moved to Hilla.

In that period, Hilla became one of the most secure cities in Iraq and the scientific and intellectual movement flourished.

It got attention of the students and established schools that undertook to extend the Islamic sciences in all kinds of knowledge.

Our approach is to rely on the written literature of the scientists, whether they are born or loved, or who migrated leaving theircountries and children to other countries, and died there, or studied for a considerable period.

The scholars of Hilla have printed many editions ghat we have relied on one edition of the index we did.
