Abstract EN

This study aims to try to test the extent of the impact of the health crisis, Covid 19, on the Kaldor hypothesis such as the role, which states that there is a relationship between industrial production and GDP growth in Algeria, using the method of joint integration in order to know the nature of the relationship in the short and long term, and then to conduct the Johansen test and Correct the error.

The study concluded that the chains were stable without differences, a long-term correlation between the two variables, and one-way GDP to IP, highlighting the effective role of economic growth in explaining fluctuations and changes in industrial output in Algeria, while the industrial sector continues to be characterized by weak contribution.

In Algeria's GDP growth, which proves the partial applicability of the Kaldore hypothesis, Algeria must develop a clear strategy to promote the industrial sector and support its contribution to the composition of GDP.
