This study aimed to test the relationship between working capital management and the profitability of Algerian small and medium enterprises in the wilaya of Setif, through a sample consisting of 68 institutions, where the effect of working capital variables (inventory turnover, customer turnover) on the profitability of small and medium enterprises was studied using Return on assets as a measure of profitability.

The hypotheses were tested according to the Panel Data model.

Statistically significant results were reached between the variables as there is a positive relationship between inventory management and the rate of return on assets (ROA), and between accounts receivable management and the rate of return on assets (ROA).
