Analyse économique de l'évolution des politiques monétaire et de change en Algérie entre 1990 et 2019

Abstract EN

The objective of this article is oriented towards the economic analysis of the evolution of monetary and exchange rate policies in Algeria between 1990 and 2019, where it will be a question of exposing, explaining and analyzing the conduct of these two policies carried out.

by the Bank of Algeria during this period.

The results show that the evolution of monetary policy in Algeria took place in two distinct contexts, namely the centralized period and the period of transition to the market economy, where the Bank of Algeria carried out expansionary monetary policies and restrictive in order to regulate the money supply and therefore control inflation.

However, the adoption of an exchange rate policy has always been made within a framework of adaptation to shocks and in a context of openness and integration of Algeria into the international economy.
