Abstract EN
The influence of the city of Hilla on the Iranian culture during the seventh to the ninth Hijri centuries was manifested in three dimensions: religious, gnostic (Irfan), and intellectual, and in three ways: a scientific way represented by the journeys of clerics and scientists, and morally reflected by the pilgrimage (Haj) convoys and economic represented by commercial caravans.
Religiously and scientifically, the al-Hilly and his son Fakhrul Muhaqiqin had a leading role in transferring of Hilla sciences to Iran.
Their role is of great magnitude due to converting from the Sunni and adhering to the Shia (the doctrine of Ahl al-Bayt peace be upon them).
Sayyid Ibn Tawoos, Ibn Maitham Bahrani, Ibn Fahd al-Hilly and Sayyid Haider al-Amali have a great importance, gnostically and morally, in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
