There are many uses of Internet of things technologies in the fields of sustainable development, as smart cities need to invent solutions to traffic crises, measure levels of noise and pollution, control lighting, monitor crime rates, surveillance cameras and early warning, as well as health care, smart agriculture and online shopping.

Although the solid base for the upcoming launch of the Internet of Things has not yet been fully formed, it has become an imposed reality that predicts many challenges that artificial intelligence will bring to humanity.

This paper seeks to shed light on the benefits that the Internet of Things brings to ensure sustainable development, as well as the challenges and risks it creates that require regulatory frameworks and legal solutions.
