The criminal record is one of the legal mechanisms established by the Moroccan legislature in the service of judicial institutions in order to establish and control the case law of convicted persons, as well as the maintenance of both society and the State.

In contrast, this legal institution creates a number of obstacles and difficulties for the integration of the released person into normal life.

It contributes to the reduction of opportunities for the employment of released prisoners, thus shifting from a means of proof of recidivism to a cause.
