Maghreb s historical research has shown many aspects of economic life in societies.

Agriculture is considered as the most important of its activities.

Thus, on which the human pension relies on.

In this study, we try to reveal the aspect of agricultural activities, and the importance of "water installations and their role in the irrigation process", That represents the basis for the establishment and development of agriculture in the whole Maghreb.

So, farmers contributed in the process and built irrigation facilities to exploit these systems in the irrigation of crops.

In this field, several obstacles revealed the existence of many necessary irrigation across the whole Maghreb.

The study focused on two chapters, the first one stresses water collection and storage such as dams and boilers, the second covered water installations and its distribution to agricultural lands through canals and waterways.

we monitored through them the most important The terminology related to the irrigation process, such as canals, waterways, which are referred to by historical sources.

The rest of them, and from here, her study directs us to answer a number of questions, centered mainly on the function of these water installations and their role in the irrigation process in the Maghreb through books of "nawazil"? .
