Debt securitization is considered one of the new technologies emerging from financial engineering at the international level, in keeping up with the economic and social developments that the traditional banking system has been unable to keep up with it, and the principle of this Anglo-Saxon-rooted mechanism, is the conversion of debts into attached securities guaranteed and negotiable via a group of institutions and intervenors.

In its turn Morocco introduced this technique into its legislative system, and the law on mortgage securitization was the first cornerstone in this area, to finance the housing sector, then a series of amendments followed, according to what was required by the local and international economic and financial development, in particular the products provided by the Islamic bank, especially Islamic financial instruments, securitization has therefore been structured to make it responsive to various investment formulas without departing from legal controls.
