Abstract EN

Arabic is one of the languages in which scholars followed the descriptive approach due to the dominance of hearing over analogy during the first three centuries of Higra.

Then the approach was changed towards the normative study due to the prevalence of analogy over hearing .Because the era was educational for the learners of grammar, Arabic applied this approach which has become today the basis of the structural approach in linguistics and predominated research since the nineteenth century.

As it was spread , the pioneer of this approach was Ferdinand de Saussure .The present research is attempt to show that the descriptive approach was used in Kufa school of study from the first century to third century and to prove that this approach is best attributed to the Arabs not to the Europeans .
