The colonial period in which Algeria live dis considred a significant turing point in the emerence of the Algerian novel with a French expressin, due to the educational policy imposed by the French authorities to expand education in the French language in Algerian schools, this led to the rise of the novel as a literary genre expessing the tagic conditions of the Algerian peaple on various levels, to continue writing in the language of colonial other until the post colonial period due to the heavy colonial legacy.
